THE ULTIMATE CHANGE-WORKER’S READING LIST… SO FAR!

The rapid change matters podcast is now 1 year old!!!! Woo hoo! Release the party poppers and bring out the cake! (Ok.. just me then…)

However, to celebrate I thought I would but together a list called the “Ultimate change-workers reading list… so far!”

But where has this come from?

Well, as you know we are now on episode 40 of the podcast. These are in depth interviews and conversations with some of the worlds leading “therapists” and ‘agents of change’ who are out there getting real results with real people… really quickly! And…

One of the questions that I almost always ask on the podcast is,

“Can you recommend any books to our listeners?… Those “stand-out” books that have massively influenced the work you do or have inspired in you in some way!”

So what follows is a full list of all the books that have then been recommended when asked that question.

The interesting thing for me is when you begin to hear the books that keep being mentioned because, guess what? If top change-workers keep recommending the same books… I know which ones I’m going to start reading!

So without further ado… let me give you the top 17 books.

BUT WHAT ELSE?

Whilst the above list contains those recommended reads that seemed to pop up multiple times, it doesn’t mean to say that the books below aren’t also fantastic. Whilst they didn’t happen to have been recommended independently by multiple change-workers (yet…) they have inspired and directed many past guest’s thinking.

SPECIAL AWARD:

My special award for… MOST BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS ON A SINGLE PODCAST goes to… GARY ‘SMILER’ TURNER, Hypnotherapist, Personal Trainer for Fight Sports, and Performance Expert. With an impressive contribution of 11 books to this list… that’s over 10%!

This, by the way, is also in addition to it being a great interview!

Well done, Gary 😉 !!! In fact… you can hear it for yourselves… here:

FINAL WORDS:

Having said all that… a few podcast guests would not be drawn into recommending books. Mainly due to the fact that they worry, rightly so, that one could become guilty of reading so much that they get disempowered to go and make their own connections from practical direct experience.

So I think a healthy does of “going for it… and discovering stuff for yourself” should always be recommended before getting too invovled with the written word!

In the comments below… I’d love to know… how many have you read? Do you agree with the top 17?

Are there any books that should have been on the list but haven’t yet been mentioned on the podcast by anyone?

Let me know and a BIG thank you for your continued support and look forward to another great year of podcasting!
